How to: Beach Waves

This is one of my go to hairstyles, when I actually make an effort to style my hair.  See the thing is, I have a love- hate relationship with my hair. Mind you, it hasn’t always been the case. After being frustrated with dry and brittle hair, after over processing (highlights) I cut a good chunk off, in effort to start over.  Annnd, I’m using this  PHOTO for my hair length goal.

Enough of my rambling and on to the tutorial.

Step One:  Part hair however you like and brush evenly to remove all knots and tangles. I used a bristle brush; a comb works as well. Next, spray a heat protectant over hair. I use Carol’s Daughter Monoi Oil  and it smells divine!
Step Two: grab smaller sections of hair and wrap hair around Curling Wand  in a downward spiral and hold for no more than 30 seconds.  Keep doing so until you’ve covered entire head. This takes me about 10-12 minutes.
Step Three/Four:  I then run my fingers through the waves to loosen them a bit. For much looser waves, I like to comb with a wide tooth comb.
Step Five/Six: Style as you please and voila!
PS. make sure to utilize the protecting glove so to avoid burning your finger.
