Good Morning, loves! Hope you all had a great weekend. This past weekend, I attempted to make beets smoothie, and it was surprisingly NOT bad. My sister hates beets, and they kind of have a bad rap, in terms of taste, but it’s so darn good for you. Read more about the benefits of beets HERE.
If you’re looking to switch up your smoothie/juicing recipe from the traditional green smoothie, I’d recommend you try this version. Original Recipe HERE.
Here’s what I used:
One golden beet, sliced
one stick of carrot, diced
half an apple, a whole apple works as well
half a lemon with peel
one table spoon of plain yogurt (I used old home vanilla yogurt)
One cup of almond milk/coconut juice.
BLEND & ENJOY!
Wow! It looks delicious! Do you ever add sugar? I would be much more likely to eat something like this if it were sweetened… 🙂

I actually didn’t think to add sugar, and it came out pretty sweet. The lemon added a kick of flavor, but I’m sure you could add a bit of sugar to yours! Thanks for stopping by!
