Easy Christmas Garland Window Idea

Hey guys,

I went from debating on whether or not I wanted a tree for Christmas to buying a 4ft tree for 20 bucks and ended up decorating my window. I’m spending half the month of December back in Minnesota with my family so I was really on the fence about whether or not I wanted to invest in Decor that I wouldn’t really get to enjoy.  I rationalized that if I put up my decor early enough, I could enjoy it before heading home for the holidays.

So here’s how I made my Christmas Garland Window decor.

I purchased two boxes of lights from Michaels and two packs of garlands as shown below I actually ended up using just one pack and light and used the other to add more shine to my tree, but you can also use more lights and lights that flicker on and off.

Here’s how I did it. I linked/intertiwned the two garlands together at the ends and basically wrapped the lights around the garland. You can use nails if you want, but since I didnt have nails, not did I have a hammer, I used pin tacks and they worked well on my walls. I also used ornament hooks to secure the garland onto the pin tacks. So what you’ll want to do is tie the ornament hooks around the garland into a hoop and hook the hoop onto the pin tack! Thats it! I topped it with three red bows for extra oomph!

Honestly, you can use a thicker garland if you want to go all out. Seeing how easy this was, I think next year, I’m going to make a more elaborate Christmas Garland Window!
