Phuket Travel Diary

I’ve been so jet lagged this week, since returning from Thailand so I’ve taken the time to whip out these Thailand and Singapore since my memories still fresh.

So When we planned our trip, we knew we wanted to make a stop in Phuket, and Singapore but we didnt have a set order of where to visit first. Our first stop was in Bangkok, and for some reason we decided to fly from Bangkok to Singapore and then back to Phuket. I’m so glad we chose that route because Singapore was fun and adventurous but it was BUSY, and so was Bangkok! It was really nice to end the trip in Phuket because I really had the chance to relax before heading back to work. Vacations are nice because you want to explore and enjoy the country, but it’s also nice to be able to relax and refresh, you know?

We spent three night and two full days in Phuket. Phuket is more small town, quiet feel compared to city life in Bangkok. The first day, we took it easy after the flight from Singapore. We walked the main street our airbnb was on. I ordered take out Shrimp Pad Thai for 250 baht which is about 8 USD.

On Thursday, we had the cab driver on site drive us to Nai Yang Beach. I loved the beach. It wasn’t as beautiful as Phi Phi Island, but it was much more quieter and the restaurant we ate at was delicious.

On Friday, We took a day trip to Phi Phi Island by speedboat through Phuket Tour Daily. It cost about 2000 Baht which included a trip to PhiPhi Island, Khai Beach and Kho Yao Yai beach. They were all beautiful and Phi Phi was my favorite. It was simply pictureque. We spent two hours at Kho Yao Yai beach, got to play in the water (cuz I cant swim) take some amazing photos. The pictures below with the rocks were taken there.  We had lunch, which was provided and then headed to PhiPhi Islands. We also stopped at Khai beach where people got to snorkle for a bit. It looked amazing. Since I can not float to save my life, I stayed on the boat.

Saturday morning before our flight, we headed to the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Phuket. It cost about 80 USD. You get picked up at your hotel or a hotel that they drive to, play with the elephants and take photos with them. We got to feed them, and give them a bath. Lunch was also included in our ticket, which was amazing. It really was the perfect way to end the trip. Elephants are Huge and so gentle. When I decided to go on this trip, I decided that I wasn’t going to partake in riding an elephants. They’re huge, but also very gentle. ps. Did you know that elephants carry their babies for up to 18-22 months? Yikes! Watch this hilarious video of me interacting with the elephant.

My cover up and swimsuit are both from ASOS. My swim top is actually a workout top I purchased from TJMAXX. I thought it paired well with this swim bottom. Both my bottom and cover up are sold out. But I’m going to link it, incase they come back in stock.
