I’m rounding up my current beauty favorites today, because 1) it’s been a while, and 2) I have some products I really LOVE, and wanted to share. My biggest skin concern has been acne marks; because I’m a picker. I just pick. It’s what I do. Anyway, let’s jump right in.

My clarisonic Mia 2 has been a skin saver ever since I purchased it two years ago. It was worth every penny. Not only does it exfoliate, it really removes all the dirt and makeup your cleanser, hands and towelette doesn’t remove.

I’ve been using this Aveeno foam cleanser for a while now, and I love it because it’s really gentle on my skin. This Olay Complete moisturizer has been one of my favorite drug store finds. It’s rich, moisturizing and it has SPF. I used to use it as my day time moisturizer, but I now use it at night. During the day, I use this Strivectin repair and protect. It feels like butter on my skin, especially after I’ve exfoliated.

Speaking of exfoliation, I swear by this face mask by Lush. You NEED this stuff in your beauty arsenal. It’s SOO good. The texture is amazing, it really does exfoliate your skin, absorbs oil, and leaves your skin feeling smooth and brighter. This is the one product I can guarantee, I’ll be restocking consistently. On the days I wanna give my skin some extra TLC, I have been using this Strivectin Mask, followed by this shea butter I received in one of my Cocotique boxes.

Prior to seeing a dermatologist in July, I was using the Clinique clearing gel, and the Dr. Weil Mega Bright Skin Tone Correcting Serum. Lots of people swear by the Dr. Weil for Origins, and honestly, I didn’t see a noticeable difference. At 57 dollars a bottle I would not repurchase. Don’t dismiss it though; do your research because it very well may work for you. No two skin types are alike.

After I met with my dermatologist, she prescribed me Clyndaymicin (gel anti-biotic. I didn’t include it in my roundup because it’s prescription) and it helps. She also prescribed me a high dose of hydroquinone 4% which she suggested I get from a pharmacy in Canada because it was cheaper there and I didn’t need a prescription.  I have  to say my scars have faded some in the past month or so, and I’m pleased with how my skin is looking as of late.

I have to remind myself that these products do not work overnight, as I would like them to, so patience indeed is a virtue.

Have you guys used any of these products, and did you like the results? I may do a beauty skin care routine post or video in the near future. Let me know in the comments if you have any questions about any of the products I’ve mentioned here.

Sorry the mega bright didn’t work for you. But yea hydroquinone are great for scars, just don’t abuse it as it might lighten the skin a lot. Happy you found a routine that worked.

Its like that sometimes, some products work great for some ppl and not for others. The hydroquinone doesn’t really work for me and it was also quite expensive for the small tube. The Lush exfoliator, now that’s the business; worth every penny!

Think I’m gonna get the clarisonic brush. Need a good exfoliator. My face just has a mind of its own these days. I can’t keep up! ?

I am definitely going to have to try that mask (I have a bit of a mask obsession!)
I also have the same problem with wanting almost immediate results 🙂
