It’s been scarce city up in here guys! I’ve been trying to figure out a balance with my new job and the blog and have not really had the chance to post like I’d wanted to. Hopefully that’ll all change soon.  Summer is right around the corner and I am excited! I’m also in prep mode to get my skin right for summer.  I have super sensitive skin; I break out easily on my chest, back and thighs and the past few months I really got into exfoliating. I’m ready to kick things up a notch since it’s bikini season pretty soon and I want to look and feel my best, and here’s what I’ve been doing.

Because I have sensitive skin, I’ve decided to stay away from body products with fragrance for the most part. I am currently using body scrub between the Frank Body Scrub. I use the Cacao body scrub. This is hands down the best scrub I have EVER used. a bit pricey, at 16.00 a pop, it’s worth every penny because it really does help reduce acne scarring, strecth marks, and it’s great for dry skin. It also has sweet almond oil, so it leaves your skin feeling super smooth. Now because it’s a coffee scrub, it makes for a pretty mess, but a good rinse of your shower/tub and everything should be good.

It’s too bad I am staying away from scented/fragrance products because I love scented body washes, but this Neutrogena Body scrub is what I’ve been using as of late. Because it has acne medication in it; it’s perfect if you are prone to break ups on your body.

A happy medium of these three scrubs is the Tree Hut Body Scrub. Gosh, it smells divine and the texture is great. Not as fine as the Frank body scrub, but it gets the job done and it’s much more reasonably priced.

I swear by Nivea body lotions. It’s hands down the best body moisturizer I’ve used. It’s rich and moisturizing but doesn’t leave you greasy looking, which gets a A+ in my book. I tend to alternate the Nivea lotion with my Baby Oil (promise, it’s not just for baby) and the Vaseline Body Gel is a good option too.

What are you looking forward the most about Summer, and more importantly, how do you get your skin sun kissed ready for Summer?

I’ve always wanted to try the Neutrogena body scrub. Like you, I also have extremely sensitive skin. I didn’t realize the scrub had acne medication in it. I’ll have to give it a try!

(P.S. If you’re interested, I’m giving away a Helen Ficalora pendant for Mother’s Day. Enter here.)

I’ve heard so many great things about the Frank scrub – I think my skin will definitely need to try this out before showing more skin for summer!
