How to decorate a White Christmas Tree

I didn’t have an opinion of whether or not I liked white Christmas Tree, until my mom and sis gave me one predecorated last year. This year, I decided to use my white Christmas tree and decorate it myself. At my parent’s home,  we’ve always had a green Christmas tree, so deciding how to decorate my White Christmas tree without it looking tacky was a bit daunting.

Here are the steps I used in decorating my tree.

1st: Decide on a color scheme.  I LOVE gold, anything so naturally, I ran with that. I added a few silver touches as well.
2nd: The more sparkles/shine, the better. Your Christmas tree can never be too bright, in my opinion.

3rd: Start with the bare tree. 🙂 (I left previous gold and silver ornament on the tree since, those were in my color scheme)
4th: Wrap around the garland around the tree, top to bottom. Or vice versa.
5th: For lights, I used white lights to blend in with the tree.  (white trees look better with white lights and green tree with colored and white lights)
6th: Strategically, place your ornaments on  the tree.  I place my favorite ornaments in the front of the tree, since my tree is small.

A close up or my ornaments.

7th: Top your tree. I debated whether or not I wanted a gold or silver star for my tree. Instead, I ended up using this light up gold cone, I purchased at Home Goods two weeks earlier.

This is the final look of my tree, although I might add another packet of gold garland.
TIP: To keep your look cohesive, opt for wrapping paper with your color scheme.

Thought? Have you had a White Christmas tree?

I’m getting one for next christmas. We’ve had our tall fir for about 10 years now, I think I’ll go with a red theme. Will hit up the after Christmas sales.
