The one thing I’m always on the search for is a good skincare product. I do have to admit; I’m not the best at taking care of my skin. I have a borderline addiction with picking, which leave scars. After years of trying most commercial products, I’ve yet to find a product that works for me and I think that’s mostly because I am always trying new products. Now that I have gotten a skincare routine down that I am happy with, I plan on maintaining my skincare status quo.
After lusting over the Clarisonic Mia for months, I finally invested in one and I can tell you, the hype is real. My skin is feels much smoother after using a few times. I exfoliate with the Mia three days a week because my skin is so sensitive and I try not to over work my skin.
I’ve also started using the Murad Acne Complex kit, per recommendation of a friend. On the days I use my Mia 2, I wet my face and lather with Murad Cleanser and exfoliate with the Mia 2 followed by the Acne Treatment Gel and the Skin Perfecting Lotion.
Once a week, I use the Queen Helene Mint Julep Mask to rid excess oils off my face. I also use Biore Pore Strips on my nose for those hard to remove blackheads and tone with Witch Hazel Astringent followed by the Murad Skin Perfecting Lotion.

I’ve been using black soap for many years, and it still works for me. I’ve also tried the Queen Helen Mint Julep Mask, but I didn’t like the outcome (for my skin).
I love the Witch Hazel Astringent. It’s so gentle on the skin and doesn’t sting like the other Astringment do. After washing my face, I use the Witch Hazel, both morning and night.
Very soon, I’ll be incorporating the “Indian Healing Clay” into my face regimen. I heard/read that it’s good for tighting the pores and smoothens the skin.
I just use makeup remover and wash it off with soap…lol. maybe I need to look into this.
