Friday Faves

This week went by so fast, and here we are with another Friday Faves. Trying to stay consistent with posting on the site, so for now we’ll stick to Fridays.

If you follow me on IG then you know my mom was in town. Well, I ended up not making her waffles because we went out to eat several times. I did make bacon in my air fryer and she loved it so much, we went to Crate and Barrel and she ordered one.

On a more vulnerable note, loneliness sorta kicked in today for a bit. I’ve been here in Dallas for 7 months now and with working a full time job and a part time job, I feel like I don’t have time for much. Heck, I can barely find a day to braid my hair. I’m ready to take break from the daily brush of my hair. LOL Lazy Natural here. How do you make connections in a new city, when you’re SUCH a homebody? #thestruggle

On a more fun note, my sister is spending part of her spring break with me here in Dallas and I think I am looking forward to it as much as she’s looking forward to it. She’s made a list of places she’d like to eat at such as In-N-Out Burger, Whattaburger, a Cajun Restaurant etc. I’m a huge foodie, so I’m all on board.

texas-fashion-blogger styleoptimist-blog dallas-fashion-blogger My friend Tabitha posted a great read on her site today about the darker side of social media/IG that people don’t talk about often. If you’re a blogger/influencer or even if you’re not, it really is a great read. I highly recommend.

After 3 consecutive years of waxing my underarm and spending over a thousand dollars; yes one grand on waxing my underarm, I’ve decided to try laser. Laser hair removal has worked amazingly well for my chin, and it’s incredibly affordable. It’s legit a 3rd of the cost that my yearly waxing pass costs me. I’m in the business of saving coins ALL 2020, so it only seemed right.
