Loose Waves with Smooth N Shine

New Year, New Hair right? I kid, I kid. If you follow me on the gram then you know I started lifting my hair color in October. I spent a lot of 2016 cutting the color out of my hair because my hair was damaged  but I really wanted to switch it up from Black. So here we are. My colorist lifted my hair in steps; it was a gradual color process which is much healthier for my hair.

Now that my hair is colored again, keeping healthy is my number one priority. I’m using the new and improved Smooth and Shine Formula. Not only do the bottles look different, they’ve now added Black Seed Oil, Camellia Oil, Shea Butter, and Coconut Oil, minus the sulfates.Their website is super responsive, and directs you to the best products recommended for your hair depending on your hair needs. They have products that works from straight to curly styles, curly to curly, curly to straight, and straight to straight. I’m using the curl to curly regimen here.

The first step to ensuring the health of my hair is a deep conditioner. For this style, after washing, I deep conditioned with the Smooth N Shine Deep Recovery Treatment that’s formulated to repair dry hair. If deep conditioning isn’t part of your regimen, please start. Like, yesterday, especially if you have colored treated hair.

After Deep Conditioning, I conditioned with the moisturizing conditioner, which you have the choice to leave in.

I have been wearing my  hair in wash and go’s lately but I really wanted to try something different for this style. To achieve this style, I twisted my hair into loose chunky twists using the Curl Defining Hair Cream. I also sprayed my hair with the spray of polisher  before twisting on semi dry hair with Curl Defining Cream to enhance shine.

Do you wear your hair in loose waves? Let me know if you’d like me to film a tutorial for this.

After fluffing, I finished off with a light spray of the conditioning polisher for extra shine. A little goes a long way.
